What it's worth

Card fees are one of your largest costs.

Recivr shows where they take your margin, and how to get it back.

Price every merchant above cost

See the true IC++ cost of each merchant's transactions and find the ones priced below it, so repricing starts from facts rather than averages.

Pay only what you owe

Scheme invoices and clearing files checked line by line against calculated fees, so billing errors and misapplied rates are found and can be claimed back.

Spend less on fees

See which fees, card types and regions drive your cost, and which of them you can influence, from how transactions qualify to fees you should not be paying at all.

At €1bn a year in card volume, one basis point is €100,000. Small corrections to pricing and billing add up quickly.

Card processing costs at transaction time

Know true transaction costs before pricing your merchants

Scheme invoices arrive consolidated. Fees are applied in bulk, with no breakdown of which charge hit which line — and no way to attribute cost back to the merchant that caused it.

Interchange is technically available per transaction, buried in raw clearing files with thousands of cryptic rows. In practice that makes it just as unusable.

So true IC++ cost is only confirmed weeks later, in settlement reports — by which point mispriced merchants, margin leakage and reconciliation breaks are already locked in.

Beside the path, never in it.

Embedded or side-by-side — the integration mode is yours, and neither one can hold up an authorization.

  1. Card transaction

An authorization, capture, refund or chargeback arrives.

  2. Gateway or switch

Sends the payload it already has. The transaction path is unchanged.

  3. Recivr fee engine

Resolves interchange and every applicable scheme fee, and responds in under 50 ms.

  4. Analytics, reconciliation, monitoring

The same priced events feed the surfaces you review later.

A gateway or processor integrates Recivr once. Every acquirer on that platform inherits real-time IC++ costing without writing a line of code.

Either way, Recivr never needs a PAN — it prices from the transaction attributes that determine cost.

One call in, every fee that applies out.

Each fee priced at the status the scheme actually bills it, with the rule behind it named.

Priced at every status
Authorization, capture, partial reversal, refund and chargeback each carry different fees. Every status event is priced as it arrives, not estimated once.
Traceable to the rule
Each line names the fee, the rate basis, the rule version and the source document behind it — so anyone can answer “why this fee”.
Inside the auth window
A priced response in under 50 ms at p99, fast enough to sit in the transaction path without touching your approval rates.
No PAN, no new scope
Recivr prices from the attributes that determine cost — BIN metadata, routing, MCC, entry mode, authentication. Your PCI scope is unchanged.

Analysis, reconciliation and monitoring all run off one cost number instead of three approximations of it.

Integration

Plug and play, in whichever direction suits you.

Recivr asks for a payload you already produce.

Through your gateway

We integrate into gateways and processors once. Every acquirer on that platform then switches real-time IC++ costing on without building anything themselves.

Direct to the API

Or treat us as API-as-a-service. Send the authorization or clearing payload as-is and we respond with the priced breakdown. No schema migration, no card data.

Either route gives you the same thing: a true cost number per transaction, expressed in currency and in basis points, that your pricing, billing and finance teams can all point at.

FAQ

What acquirers ask us first.

If yours is not here, email hi@recivr.com and an engineer will answer it.

What exactly does Recivr calculate?

The true network cost of a card transaction: interchange, scheme assessments and every scheme processing fee that applies to it. Recivr resolves the interchange rate from the card, the routing and the merchant profile, then applies the Visa and Mastercard fee rules that match the transaction's characteristics — per transaction, per status, in real time.

What is IC++ pricing?

IC++ (interchange plus plus, or Interchange++) is a pricing model where the merchant pays the actual interchange and the actual scheme fees on each transaction, plus the acquirer's margin. It only works if you know those two costs per transaction. Recivr calculates both on every transaction, so you can price, bill and report merchants on IC++ with the real numbers.

How fast is the API?

Recivr returns a priced response in under 50 ms at the 99th percentile, inside the authorization window, backed by a 99.9% uptime SLA. The engine is designed to sit in the transaction path without adding perceptible latency to an authorization.

Why price at every status instead of once at settlement?

A transaction's cost changes as it moves. An authorization, a capture, a partial reversal, a refund and a chargeback each carry different scheme fees. Recivr prices every status event as it arrives, so the cost of a transaction is always current rather than an estimate that gets corrected weeks later on an invoice.

How accurate is the interchange calculation?

Recivr reconciles its calculated interchange against the schemes' own clearing files — Mastercard IP755120 and the Visa interchange reports — line by line. On fully covered clearing days the calculated total typically lands within a handful of basis points of the documents, and every remaining difference is traceable to a specific transaction, rule and rate.

How does Recivr integrate with our stack?

Two ways. Gateways and processors embed Recivr once, and every acquirer on that platform inherits real-time IC++ costing with no work of their own. Or you call the API directly as a service: send the authorization or clearing payload you already have, and Recivr responds with the priced breakdown. No card data is required.

Who is Recivr built for?

Acquirers with a principal Visa and/or Mastercard licence who settle interchange and scheme fees directly with the networks, and the gateways and processors that serve them. If you price merchants on IC++ and need transaction-level cost accuracy to protect margin, Recivr is built for you.

Does Recivr replace our billing or settlement system?

No. Recivr is the cost intelligence layer beside them. It tells you what each transaction actually costs the network, and reconciles that against what the schemes billed you. Your billing engine keeps doing the billing — now with a true cost number to price against.
